Artist's Comments

Based off of the following image created by `khrass:

:pointr: Yep, this one!

Though in a pixel art styled fashion, obviously.

Was fun to make. A lot of colors used. Took an hour (or more -- I think I ate some 5-Minute soup that took more then 5-minutes to consume half-way through).

Hope it's to your liking, `khrass. Any changes: feel free to ask.

(EDIT: I took some considerations to heart when I changed some pixels here and there. The chainsaw is now more jagged and, heh, even though the original image's chainsaw isn't jagged, I think now that you see the little "teeth" more clearly on the top, you get a better impression of an actual chainsaw.

Also fiddled with the shadow and the handle.)

(EDIT TO EDIT: A pixel here and there for the shadow near left foot as well as the feet themselves. Barely noticeable. Sorry for this really miniscule little thing, but it had to be done!)

Hi, I'm Mikkel!

Mmmmhmm, this one is indeed very sex0r mate, and although it's in a different media (well, mode of media anyway) to the orginal image, I think it still holds the original feeling of it, perhaps even extending it into an even more sinsiter form because of the pixelation rather than perfect view. Some of the mystique is added by way of that, and I think it plays into your favour. Nice work in that aspect.

The colour scheming is great. Although you've used 14 colours that I can count the palette still seems very minimal and not overused which is great, often when making such a trimmed animation people have a tendency to break into the larger palettes of around 30 colours or more and it doesn't feel pixelated, little own look it. Keeping it as it is gives you enough space to breathe and the colours to mould together, but still has that level of pixelation which is lovely.

Only thing I can see which might need a slight tweak is the chainsaw. The top of it seems a little bit sheer, and loses some of the clarity of the original. I accept it's hard to get such a line happening withouth losing the clarity of a curve, but it just hits me as being a bit off. Perhaps extending it with a colour halfway between #000000 and #9AA49A just so there is a transition between the background and the black just to ease that slightly? I dunno, but anyway.

All in all, I'm digging this. I saw it in my messages and smiled, so you're doing something right. Nice work mate, keep it up
