Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
I try to restrict myself to reviewing games I've beaten all the way through but I'm going to go out on a limb to say the rest of
Uncharted 2 is just as amazing as the several hours I already plugged into it. Visuals? Stunning. Voice-acting? Spot on. Narrative? Great. (A little, erm, predictablish. But what action-adventure isn't? Though I'm sure there's lots more in store when I rip towards the end.) This is
Indiana Jones the game, and it's glorious. Every scene so far tries to squeeze as much awesome out as possible.
Point out faults, you say?
- Sometimes Drake hugs/covers behind objects I didn't intend him to.
- Sometimes grab take-downs were not happening where I expected them to.
- Being a PC gamer, shooting precision isn't as, erm, precise as I would like (but when is it ever going to be on a gamepad?).
These instances were not numerous or distracting enough to make a scratch on the experience.
You own a PS3? Buy-it. If you're an action gamer you owe it to yourself to at least play through it. Even the girlfriend/boyfriend will get a kick out of just watching.
Note: Have not played coop.
Note 2: Have not played the original. For shame?
